The co-directors of the Diploma in Chinese Economics and Politics, Professor Diego Sande Veiga and the director of IDEGA, Rubén C. Lois González, participated in the fifteenth edition of the Macau Scientific and Cultural Center (CCCM) Spring Conferences, held on March 25 and 26 in Lisbon.
Professor Sande Veiga presented his paper entitled “China and Spain, a Shared Future in Innovation: Relations and Technological Exchange Agreements.” Sande and Lois also discussed the state of Asian studies in Galicia and the programs offered by IDEGA and the Diploma in Chinese Economics and Politics.

The conferences were characterized by high participation and an international atmosphere, and were attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Portugal, Dr. Yang Yirui, and the Secretary of State for Science and Technology, Elena Canhão.
The activity fostered a fruitful scientific exchange and allowed the IDEGA’s study program and the Diploma of Specialist in Chinese Economics and Politics to be positioned within the European context of Asian studies.
