Professor and director of IDEGA Rubén C. Lois, appointed editorial manager of the ‘AGES’ series by Springer Nature publisher

Professor Rubén C. Lois González, Chair of Regional Geographic Analysis and Director of the Institute for Studies and Development of Galicia (IDEGA), has become the new editorial manager of Springer Nature’s AGES (Advances in Geographical and Environmental Sciences) series.

Springer Nature is a global publisher of scientific, technical, and medical texts. Recently indexed in Scopus, the AGES series publishes several works annually, reflecting the research of diverse geographical disciplines practiced around the world. Its aim is to popularize recent research on the Anthropocene, the environmental challenges of cities, the effects of human mobility, territorial inequalities, and critical geography approaches, among a wide range of territorial content analyses related to the environment and earth sciences.

The AGES Series is sponsored by the International Geographical Union (IGU), of which Lois is vice-president, and through it, the most outstanding contributions of geographers from Asia, Latin America, Africa, Arab countries, and the Mediterranean region, among others, are given voice. Lois shares responsibilities for this editorial series with Professors Yukio Himiyama, from Hokkaido University in Education (Japan), and Subbash Anand, from the College of Economics at the University of Delhi (India).
