The Specialist Diploma in Chinese Economics and Politics, directed by Diego Sande Veiga and Rubén C. Lois, is now accepting applications until September 8. The course will continue to be offered online, with classes held on Friday afternoons (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) and Saturdays (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) to facilitate attendance for students, professionals, researchers, and other interested groups. It will begin on October 2 and end on July 16, 2027.
The Diploma aims to:
– Understand the current configuration of the international economic and political ecosystem and recognize the importance of China as an object of study in the international context.
– Understand the main historical and cultural aspects of Chinese society.
– To become aware of the relevance of geographical, regulatory, and information systems aspects as conditioning factors for establishing economic, political, and international relations with China.
– To understand the Chinese economy, from its evolution, reforms, and successes to the challenges it currently faces.
– To develop practical knowledge of the evolution of China’s economic relations with European, national, and regional actors.
– To develop skills for analyzing and studying the Chinese economy and politics.
The admission requirements are the same as for official USC master’s programs and can be consulted here. Student selection (maximum 30 places) will be based on the curriculum vitae (80%) and the personal interview (20%).
