
The first Open Science and Citizen Science Conference will be held on May 29th, organized by Xavier de Donato, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and member of the scientific council of the Institute for Humanities Research (iHUS). Conceived as a joint activity of the iHUS and IDEGA research centers, it will take place at the Center for Advanced Studies of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
The aim is to create a space for reflection and dialogue on the challenges and opportunities of open science and citizen science, with the participation of leading experts in the university and research fields. Among the scheduled presentations are a lecture by Pilar Rico Castro, Head of the Open Science Unit at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), and the roundtable discussion “Open Science and Citizen Science,” featuring representatives from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the University of Barcelona.
