Anindita Datta, vice president of the International Geographical Union (IGU), and deputy representative of the IGU of the Permanent Committee for Gender Equality in the Sciences (SCGES), will give this Friday, July 3, a conference Mapping Agency, Feminist Counterspaces and Feminist Solidarities in the Emergent and Extraordinary. It will take place at 12:30 pm in Classroom 2 Faculty of Geography and History and the teacher of the group will be presented to María José Piñeira Mantiñán.
Datta is Professor and Head of the Department of Geography at the Delhi School of Economics, at the University of Delhi. Her lines of research focus on feminist geography, conceptual traditions of geography, and social geography in India. Take special interest in issues related to gender violence and epistemic violence, everyday and indigenous feminisms of the Global South, spaces of resistance and spaces of coidad.
